Day 36- Everyone has a daddy!
So as we were driving to school today half of the bus happened to look out the window when the man selling the papers wandered through the parked cars. The back page was plastered with ads for fathers’ day. A collective gasp escaped the van…. It’s father’s day…. Then the blissful realization…. We hadn’t missed it, it wasn’t even fathers’ day in the US yet!!! It was, however, Father’s Day in China so I got to start off my morning with a phone call to Daddy to wish him happy Father’s Day!! What a happy way to start the day!
School, school, school and an uneventful bus ride home and we went to pick up our first test patch of laundry at the dry cleaners near the hotel….. AS it turns out miracles do happen!!! Everything was wonderful and accounted for ☺You’d never realize what a luxury clean clothes are until you simply cannot get them anymore- the new hotel, while it has everything else we could ask for, does not have a bathtub, which makes it darn near impossible to do any laundry (of any significance- we can still manage socks and the like). So we were SOOO excited to get our fresh-smelling cleanly pressed and laundered clothes back this afternoon! So excited in fact that we went straight back with the rest of our clothes!
Now we’re busy writing our first paper in Arabic…. Yeah so wish us luck! Haha serious, serious luck!
